Introduction

My name is Cameren, with two e’s, but you may know me better as KinchStalker. It was a name I came up with for some message board back in high school: a Ulysses reference juxtaposed with a Tarkovsky film, which was representative of my interests at the time. It slightly embarrasses me now, as although I still hold deep respect for modernist literature and arthouse cinema (even this blog’s name is a film reference), my attention span has significantly deteriorated since those days, and those references threaten to make me look pretentious in other circles. For now, though, it has stuck.

I am an amateur puroresu historian, generally interested in mens’ wrestling in the 20th century. I mostly post my work on the ProWrestlingOnly message boards, where I have been granted my own subforum. On very rare occasions, I also write on a WordPress blog called From Milo To Misawa. At some point in the future, I might consolidate the latter work onto here. However, my initial aim for this blog is a little different.

I want to peel back the curtain with Puros Plus Massacre. This blog will feature thoughts on my ongoing projects, such as a planned biography of Jumbo Tsuruta. It may also see me branch out into match reviews or even non-wrestling related writing. As I write this, I am still on a self-imposed vacation from serious research, but I want to plant seeds to freshen up my interest in the subject. Hopefully this soil will suit them.
